On 13 May 2003 a General Agreement on cooperation between NPC Intelcom and the Federal Center of State Sanitary-and-Epidemiological control under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation was signed. It touches upon mutual understanding on development directions in informatization of the Federal Center and Sanitary-and-Epidiomilogical services in general and in particular on the problems that exist in the area. It also says that the parties have come to an agreement to undertake all steps concerning informatization together, including tasks of socio-sanitary monitoring in the Russian Federation. According to the Agreement the Federal Center is responsible for general guidance while NPC Intelcom as an official system integrator of the Federal Center is responsible for database and application software development and equipment delivery.
